What Data We Get

We also collect some data automatically, like information about your device and what parts of our Services you interact with or spend time using. All data listed in this policy is subject to the following processing activities: collecting, recording, structuring, storing, altering, retrieving, encrypting, pseudonymizing, anonymising, erasing, combining, and transmitting.
Data You Provide to Us
We may collect different data from or about you depending on how you use our Services. When you create an account for Distant Healing and interact with a healer, we collect any data you provide directly, including personal data, photos, and video’s you send and uniquely identify any submissions you make. Your data will not be shared with any other person or organisation other than the way-of-the-phoenix healer(s) and the Way of the Phoenix system administrator.
Some data will automatically be collected like information about your device and what parts of our services you interact with or spend time using.
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
If you make a donation by debit or credit card or by PayPal from a personal account our usage of any transaction is governed by PayPal policy. We do not store details of your personal banking account, or debit, or credit cards.
We may invite you to complete a survey or to advise a testimonial. If you participate, we will collect and store the data you provide as part of participating, such as your name, email address, postal address, date of birth, or phone number. That data is subject to this Privacy Policy. The data collected will only be used to administer a testimonial or survey and will not be made public. Testimonials published on our site require your prior agreement and will not include any uniquely identifying data.

How long do we Retain Data?
We keep your Personal Information for as long as is necessary for the purposes for which it is processed. These periods vary depending on the nature of the information and your interactions with us. When the purposes for which we processed your Personal Information have concluded, we will either permanently delete or destroy the relevant Personal Information or anonymize it, in a manner that ensures individuals personal information is no longer identifiable.
Your Rights
You have certain rights around the use of your data, including the ability to opt out of newsletter emails, and cookies. You can update or terminate your account from within our Services and can also contact us for individual rights requests about your personal data. Parents or guardians who believe we’ve unknowingly collected personal data about their underage child, or if legally responsible carers believe we’ve unknowingly collected data about the person they care for, should contact us on [email protected] for help deleting that information.
Right to Erasure
Under Article 17 of the UK GDPR individuals have the right to have personal data erased. This is also known as the ‘right to be forgotten’. The right only applies to data held at the time the request is received from a Way of the Phoenix account user. We hold distant healing personal data for a period of 7 years as a need to exercise our rights of defence of legal claims and/or as required to provide on request the account user copy of any data they have provided. Your account will continue to be secure when you are no longer actively using it, and data protected for as long as we are legally bound to retain the data. If the account user does choose to delete their account, name, account identifier, and date of deletion only will be retained beyond use for referral purpose only. All other personal data, recorded conversations etc, are deleted except in the instance where we have provided on request the account holder with copy of any or all transaction data, which we are duty bound to keep for a period of 7 years.
Our Policy concerning young people
We recognize the privacy interests of young people and encourage parents and guardians to take an active role in their children’s online activities and interests. Individuals younger than 18 years of age may not set up a distant healing account but may have a parent or guardian open an account on their behalf. If we learn that we’ve collected personal data from a young person under 18 years of age, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
Embedded content from other sites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g., videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
